Over twenty-five years' experience preparing children for grammar school entrance exams, English tuition and ten years' experience teaching Basic Literacy to GCSE in Further & Adult Education.

Wide experience teaching all ages and abilities from pre-school to adults.

The majority of my tutees come to me from word of mouth (see Testimonials) due to my reputation for high-quality tutoring and my long-standing involvement in the local community, having lived in Didsbury for most of my adult life. I frequently work with families over a number of years, often teaching several siblings, particularly in preparation for grammar school entrance exams.

I am patient, understanding, and skilled at helping children feel comfortable and confident. Teaching is not merely my profession; it is my passion. When my daughter, who has Down’s syndrome, was born, I was determined to give her the best start, successfully teaching her the three Rs before she began school and helping her greatly exceed expectations throughout her education. As a result, I am sought after by families of children with special educational needs as well as those who are more able or gifted.

Availability

During term-time I generally tutor Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until 7 p.m., and restrict tuition to the minimum during school holiday periods.
